Thinking on making commissions

Posted by HeyPixel - January 29th, 2023

So, yeah. I was thinking on making some commissions. But I'm not sure how much I should pay. Maybe 1$? Maybe more?

Also you know that I promise a draw and then the draw is posted... Three months later.

This doesn't mean I couldn't make a commissioned draw. But I'm also unsure if my skills are good enough for that. So I'm asking you if I should open comm or something.

How long do you spend making a drawing on average? I'd say you should charge at least 10 per hour and that's as a unknown artist who has not done commissions before. Keep in mind the idea of rising the prices with time.

It taking forever to deliver is a problem, thought, which could be solved by scheduling. Dedicate a little time to it everyday, so you at least always make some progress. Make sure to set a time every day or every two days that is impossible not to fulfill so it grows a habit.

I think your job is good enough for commissions, to be honest not good enough to charge
a lot of dollars for job, but i think 1 to 3 its okay to start. You can improve the price as you feel that your skills are improving.
Just be sure you dont acept more than one commission at the same time because of time
